FUNERAL CARD FRIDAY

Kinga Jeanine Stachowiak was married to my Great Uncle Eugene Stachowiak.  I don't ever remember meeting my great uncle who died in 1961 but I do know that I met Kinga.  While I don't remember much about her (except for her unusual name), I do remember attending her funeral in 1971.  It was held at a Polish Catholic Church in Los Angeles and the Mass was said in Polish.

  1. I just saw the announcement about your blog in GeneaBloggers today. It's funny, but like you, I haven't spent much time on my Polish ancestry. In my case, I think it is because there are so many barriers--first, of course, is the language issue. But then, my Polish family was very quiet about their Polish roots. Actually, let me amend that: they were outright secretive! It's taken a lot of digging and working with cousins on our project, to find out even little scraps of information on that Polish line!

I'll be interested to follow along here and see how you do in progressing with your own Polish research. Best wishes as you continue blogging!
